DHAKA: The High Court on Sunday (Nov 18) granted BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas and his wife Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal President Afroza Abbas bail for eight months each, in the cases filed over violence in front of BNP office in Nayapaltan. 

The HC bench of Judges Md Rezaul Huq and Jafar Ahmed passed the order.

Senior lawyer Zainul Abedin and AKM Ehsanur Rahman moved for the couple, at the courtroom.

Attorney General Md Momtaz Uddin Fakir moved for the state.

“The two (Mirza Ababs and his wife) have been granted bail in advance for 8 months each, in three cases filed over the Nayapaltan incident of Nov 14,” Ehsanur Rahman told Banglanews.

They went to the HC in the morning.
