DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the leaders of BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront are pushing the country towards a civil war by speaking aggressive ahead of the national election.

“They (BNP and Oikyafront leaders) are saying that their 300-400 leaders and activists will stay at each polling stations on the day of election. Will a civil war erupt, if we ask our leaders and activists to take position in the same way,” he said.

Quader, also the minister for road transport & bridges, was addressing a seminar at Radisson hotel in Dhaka Thursday (Nov 22) morning. 

He further said the leaders of Oikyafront including Dr Kamal Hossain don’t have any value even worth a penny; they are only being used by BNP.
