BNP nomination aspirant alleges 'cop search' at her Dhaka residence Meherunnesa Haque talking to reporters

DHAKA: Meherunnesa Haque, a nomination aspirant from BNP for Dhaka-16, has filed a complaint with the Election Commission (EC) over an alleged police search and attack at her residence here. 

Meherunnesa, current counsellor for wards 2, 3 and 4 of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), submitted the complaint letter to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda. 

She stated in the letter that police carried out a search at her residence and also hunted for her on Nov 23. 

“I’m surviving much panic now,” she stated. 

Meherunnesa also urged the EC to make sure measures so that she will not has to face any harassment.
