DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was seen breaking down in tears during a media brief at BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan Monday (Nov 26).

“We are going to wage an organized movement for Khaleda Zia, who is now in jail. For the first time, we are going to participate in a national election sans the party chairperson,” he said.

He was seen weeping at one stage and went mum for a while.

A few other leaders also joined him.

However, BNP arranged the briefing marking distribution of nomination letters to its candidates for the 11th national polls.
