DHAKA:  The ruling Awami League, which leads14-party alliance, has left thirteen seats to five of its allies to contest the upcoming national elections.

The nomination letters were sent to candidates till Tuesday (Nov 27).

Of the 13 seats, Workers Party gets 5, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSoD) 3, Bangladesh Jasad 2, Jatiya Party (Manju) 1, and Bangladesh Tarikat Federation (BTF) 2.    

Party leaders confirmed the matter to reporters.

However, the 11th parliamentary elections are set be held on Dec 30.
