RAJSHAHI: A Jubo League leader was killed in a clash among two groups of Awami League in Baghmara upazila of Rajshahi Saturday (Dec 1).

The deceased was identified as Chanchal Kumar, 42.

He succumbed to his injuries after being taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in a critical condition, around 4:30pm.

The body was kept at the morgue.

The clash erupted among the followers of ruling party lawmaker for Baghmara-4 constituency Engr Enamul Haque and Taherpur Municipality Mayor Abul Kalam Azad.

Police members were deployed in the area to calm the situation.

Baghmara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasim Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
