THAKURGAON: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir called upon the voters to cast their votes in favour of the sheaf of paddy, electoral symbol of the BNP, “for the sake of restoring democracy.
Fakhrul made the urge while addressing a roadside rally in Salondar Union in Sadar upazila on Thursday (Dec 13).
“If people want to restore democracy, they have to cast votes to Sheaf of Paddy. There will be no accountability in the country sans change in state power. Autonomy will be continuing in the country”, the BNP leader said.
He further said “We formed Jatiya Oikyafront with Dr Kamal Hossain for the sake of democracy. People have to be united for ensuring a free and fair election and “restoring” their right to vote and democracy in the country”.
Fakhrul also pledged that all educated unemployed youths will be brought under unemployment allowance net until they secure a job.
Then, he continued his electioneering in Chedangi, Battoli areas of Salondar Union in Sadar upzila.
