DHAKA: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 will give its judgement any day in crimes against humanity case against alleged razakar Md Abdus Samad Musa alias Feroz Kha from Puthia of Rajshahi.
Justice Md Shahinur Islam, chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-1, on Monday (July 8) kept the judgement on CAV, (curia advisari vult) after conclusion of arguments by the prosecution and defence in the case.
A total of 15 prosecution witnesses testified in the case while defence could not produce any witness to vouch for the innocence of the accused.
Earlier on September 9, 2018, the tribunal indicted Musa and framed five charges of crimes against humanity including looting 8/10 houses, arson attack on 50/60 houses, confinement, murder of 15 people and torturing 21 people against him.
On April 12, 2018, the investigation agency submitted formal charges against him bringing five charges.
On January 14, 2018, it published probe report in the case at its Dhanmondi office.
According to the investigation agency, Musa was a supporter of Jamaat-e-Islami and subsequently joined locally formed Razakar Bahini through his ranks in Peace Committee.
Earlier on January 4, 2017, he has been shown arrested in the case.
