FARIDPUR: Awami League lawmaker Rushema Imam passed away on Tuesday (July 9).

Rushema breathed her last at Faridpur Heart Foundation Hospital around 11.30 pm on Tuesday.

She left behind two sons, a daughter and a lot of well-wishers to mourn her demise. Three of her children are living in Canada.

Rushema began her career as a teacher of the Faridpur Ishan Memorial High School. She took oath as Awami League lawmaker from Faridpur on February 20 of this year.

Dead body was kept in morgue of the Diabetic Hospital in Faridpur town. For people to pay their last respects, her body will be placed in front of her house at Gopalpur area of Faridpur town at 4 pm. Following funeral prayer on Faridpur Police Lines ground, Rushema Imam will be laid to rest in family graveyard.
