Bangladesh U-15 girls' football team kicked off their SAFF U-15 Championship campaign with 8-0 win over Bhutan at Birshrestha Shaheed Sipahi Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka Tuesday (Nov 1).
The girls in red and green are aiming to win the regional age-level competition for the second time after 2017 when they had also hosted the event.
India, who is not taking part in this year's tournament, won the other two editions.
Substitute Sauravi Akanda Prity bagged a hat-trick for Bangladesh while Umehla Marma netted a brace.
Thuinuye Marma, vice captain Mosammat Joynob Biri Rita and Kanon Bala Rani Bahadur also scored one each.
The home side will take on the other side of the competition, Nepal, this Saturday at the same venue.
