Nepal U-15 women's football team made a winning start in the SAFF U-15 Women's Championship beating Bhutan by 7-0 goals today (Thursday) at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city's Kamalapur in Dhaka.
Barsha Oli put the major contribution of Nepal's victory. All her four goals came in the first half in the 1st, 17th, 33rd and 34th minutes of the match.
She was well supported by Sukriya Miya who scored twice in the 65th and 72nd minutes.
Senu Pariyar sealed the victory scoring the second goal for Himalaya Kingdom in the 85th minute of the match.
This is Bhutan's second successive loss in the tournament. Earlier, Bangladesh had defeated Bhutan 8-0 in the opening match of the tournament. Bangladesh are at the top of the table on goal difference for the time being.
Nepal will play their next match of the tournament against Bangladesh scheduled to be held on Saturday (November 5) at the same venue. Nepal will again face Bhutan and Bangladesh on November 7 and November 9 respectively.
Three countries of South Asian nation are participating in the tournament being held in a double round-robin format. The top of the table at the end will be the winners of the tournament.
