Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Najmul Hossain Shanto on Sunday (March 12) guided Bangladesh to clinch the T20I series over England with one match remaining in hand.
Tigers beat the visiting England by 4 wickets in the second T20 match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur of Dhaka. Chasing 118 run target, they reached the target with seven balls remaining.
Shanto scored 46 off 47 balls while Mehidy Hasan Miraz strike 20 off 17 balls.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to field first at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Ben Duckett scored the highest 28 runs while Phil Salt 25, Moeen Ali 15, and Sam Curran got 12 runs.
The magnificent bowling of Miraz helped Tigers restrict England to 117 all out in the stipulated 20 overs.
Miraz, who also bagged four wickets in his four overs conceding only 12 runs, was adjudged the Player of the Match.
Shakib Al Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud and Mustafizur Rahman each complemented Mehidy with a wicket apiece.
Taskin Ahmed (1-27), Mustafizur Rahman (1-19) and Shakib (1-13) bowled strictly to keep the scoring rate slow.
Tigers already found themselves in an overwhelming position after they beat the current 50-over and T20 world champions by six wickets in the opening T20I at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Thursday.
