Bashundhara Kings Football Academy will begin its journey with a non-residential professional training program on Friday.
An inaugural program will take place at the Bashundhara Kings Arena on this day.
The club will initially train three different age groups: 6-11 (boys and girls), 11-15 (boys) and 15-18 (boys).
The training sessions will be run by Kings’ decorated coaching panel at the turfs of the Bashundhara Sports Complex; even their head coach, Valeriu Tita, is also expecting to do some sessions with young budding talents. The sessions will be held three days a week.
Club’s president Imrul Hassan earlier said that their initiative would be helpful for the country’s football as it would build strong pipelines for the club as well as the national team.
“Football is the most popular sport in our country, but we, who are involved with the Bangladesh Football Federation and different clubs, have failed to catch that pulse. Also, we need success in the national team to bring a revolution in the country’s football. And to make our national team successful, we need a strong pipeline,” he said.
“The same scenario is in our clubs. We need to work on this issue, we need to work on age-level groups. So, we decided to launch it. Our initiative will be helpful for the country’s football as it will build pipelines for our club as well as the national team,” he added.
