Bashundhara Group has opened the swimming pool at Bashundhara Sports Complex for use by students of Bashundhara Public School and College.

On Sunday, on the first day for the students in the pool, the school’s swim trainers, national award recipients Promy Akter and Setu Akter, demonstrated their swimming skills.

Later, the school children also dived in the pools under the supervision of the school’s assistant sports teacher Jakia Sultana Suborna. Teachers, guardians and Bashundhara Group officials were also present at the time.

Bashundhara Public School and College Principal Brigadier General (retd) Md Anisur Rahman said Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan is very much interested in sports. 

Mr Sobhan has created many sports-oriented opportunities for the school’s children, he said.

Students of Bashundhara Public School and College can learn swimming for free at Bashundhara Sports Complex swimming pool, the principal noted.
