Bangladesh secured a spot in the SAFF U-19 Championship final with a 2-1 victory over Nepal in the semifinal at Golden Jubilee Stadium, Arunachal, India, on Monday (May 12).
Both teams remained goalless in the first half, with equal exchanges of attacks but no breakthroughs.
In the 73rd minute, Ashiqur Rahman put Bangladesh ahead with a header from a corner by Nazmul Huda Faisal. Seven minutes later, Faisal doubled the lead, finishing a pass from Manik.
Nepal responded in the 86th minute, with Sujan Dangol finding the net after breaking through Bangladesh’s defense. However, they failed to level the score before the final whistle.
