Bangladesh eyes on winning Glasgow

DHAKA: Bangladesh cricket team is expecting a clean victory against Scotland and Netherlands in their two different matches at Glasgow on Monday and Tuesday.

“There is no chance to take them lightly, we are serious and in international cricket nobody takes their opponents lightly specially in One Day games’’ said skipper Mashrafee Bin Mortaza.

In their Europe tour, visitor Bangladesh smartly tackled host England in three matches of One Day series with a victory which was the first achievement for Bangladesh in any sorts of cricket against them.

But in Ireland, Bengal Tigers were frustrated conceding a seven-wicket defeat in the first appearance in two match’s series at Belfast, before winning the second match.

Mashrafee said, “It was a do or die situation and our boys played well in every department to win convincingly in the last ODI. But this is a new series with new opponents with single match against Scotland and Netherlands.”

“There is no room for error,” he said.

Bangladesh Team was very serious during practice on Sunday at the Clydesdale Cricket Ground.

After an impressive series level win against Ireland, the visitors arrived in Glasgow Saturday and took rest.

The team management yet not listed the first 11 for the Monday’s match against Scotland.

Bangladesh Cricket Team officials told banglanews24.com.bd that the captain and coach Jamie Siddons had visited the pitch.

However, Bangladesh has cent percent success against Scotland in three ODI matches.
