DHAKA: World top all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan on Sunday said he wants to play for the country for at least 10 years more and also join in the 2023 Cricket World Cup.

Shakib, in a status on his Facebook page, said, “I always want to play for the country. I want to play for the national team for at least 10 years more.”

“Arriving in Bangladesh after wining the IPL (Indian Premiere League), I said the joy of winning a match for Bangladesh is not equal to the winning of all of IPL trophies. So, you can think about my playing vision for the country,” he added.

Shakib said, “Many think I will go on retirement after 2019 World Cup, but the truth is I want to play the 2023 World Cup too.”
