Team India recovering from the ruins of the first Innings crashed formidable foe Australia by massive 295 runs.
In the heavy weight contest of the two top guns India forged ahead 1-0 of the 5 tests Bordar Gavaskar test series. While young prodigies Yashasvi Jaiswal, superstar Virat Kohli and classic Rahul starred with the bat, captain Bumrah Championed with the ball in turning the contest to a virtual one-way traffic.
Bruised, battered and humiliated from the defeat Australia needs regrouping quick before the second test a day night pink ball test at Adelaide. Indian contingent will be reinforced by captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.
So much was talked about the sudden depletion of team India getting surprisingly whitewashed at home by New Zealand only very recently. In the second Innings 22 years old batting prodigy Yashasvi Jaiswal rocked Australia producing gem of an innings 161 his 4th century in 15th test. He treated Starc, Cummins and co with disdain. Champion Virat produced a punishing 100 not out his 31st century signaling return of form. On a wicket where both teams struggled in the first innings Indian openers producing 201 in the opening partnership set up the match for team India. Bumrah declared the innings at 487/6 setting a mouth Everest target of 534 for Australia to scale.
Australia succumbed to 295 runs massive defeat scoring 238 all out in the second innings. It is after a while Australia lost the first test of the five-test series. Jasprit Bumrah for his superb bowling was adjudged man of the match.
In the dog fight of the two heavy weights there will be lot more dramas for sure over the next 4 tests at Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. There is a lot at stake for both the teams.
