DHAKA: Australia have managed to score only 85-run losing all wickets against visiting South Africa in the first innings of 2nd Test on Day 1 at Bellerive Oval, Hobart on Saturday (November 12).

Only Aussie captain Steve Smith (48) and Joe Mennie (10) reached in the double digit.

Vernon Philander picked up five wickets giving away only 21-run from 10.1-over while Kyle Abbott took three and Kagiso Rabada took one wicket.

Earlier, South Africa captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and unleashed his fast bowlers on Australia, leaving the hosts at 31 for 6, their second-worst start in the first innings of a Test match at home.

The conditions - cloudy skies and moisture in the surface - were helpful, and the seamers exploited it efficiently, giving Australia nothing.

Australia are playing with two debutants -- Callum Ferguson and Joe Mennie -- in the match.
