Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been rested from all forms of international cricket till April 30, the BCB said on Wednesday (March 9). 

The decision will now keep him out from Bangladesh's upcoming Test and ODI tour of South Africa, scheduled to run from March 12 to April 8. 

The board, however, has not named a replacement for Shakib as the ODI squad will now travel to South Africa without him.

"He called me and said 'I am not mentally and physically fit to play' and wanted to skip the South Africa series and we have decided to give him rest till April 30th from all forms of cricket," Jalal informed in a press conference on Wednesday.
