Bashundhara Kings defeated Swadhinata Krira Sangha by 2-0 goals in their opening match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League football second phase, powered by Bashundhara Group at the Muktijuddho Smriti Stadium in Rajshahi on Sunday.

Kings’ newly signed Brazilian sensation Miguel Figueira Damasceno, who made debut in BPL with the day’s match, struck both goals in the 28th and 37th minutes. 

With the day’s feat, Kings earned a total of 29 points from 9 wins, 2 draws and one defeat while Swadhinata KS remained at the bottom of the table with their previous credit of 6 points from one win, 3 draws and 8 defeats.
