In the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League football, powered by Bashundhara Group, Bashundhara Kings today beat Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 3-2 goals at the Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
Muktijoddha gave a tough fight against their mighty opponents' Kings in the day’s match. Their Burundian midfielder Abdallah Sudi struck a brace in the 16th and 60th minutes to give his side the lead twice.
But the Kings’ Brazilian captain Robson Robinho and local forwards Eleta Kingsley, Sumon Reza bagged victory netting one goal each in the 48th, 72nd and 80th minutes of the game.
However, the match between the Kings and Muktijoddha was originally scheduled to be held at the Muktijoddha’s home venue Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj but Bangladesh Football Federation shifted the match to Munshiganj last week considering heavy traffic in Mawa Ferry Ghat.
