All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will lead Bangladesh Test Cricket Team once again while Liton Das will assist him as the vice captain.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) made the announcement after a meeting on Thursday afternoon.
Mominul Haque stepped down from his Test captaincy on Tuesday to focus on his batting, after a poor run of form so far this year.
He was made captain of Bangladesh Test cricket team in November 2019 after Shakib was banned by the International Cricket Council for his failure to report corrupt approaches.
Bangladesh team will leave for West Indies on June 5 where they will play two Test matches, three Twenty20 internationals and three one-day internationals.
