Rain forced a no-result in the first T20 between West Indies and Bangladesh on Saturday in Dominica.
Overnight and early morning showers initially caused a delayed start, with the game reduced to a 16-over contest with West Indies winning the toss and opting to field.
The game was slated to start at 13:30h, but eventually got underway at 15:10h. Another shower had the players scampering at 15:56h with Bangladesh struggling at 60-4 after 7.4 overs.
Play resumed 34 minutes later, with the game further reduced to 14 overs per side. By 17:00h, it started to rain again with Bangladesh 105-8 after 13 overs.
Bangladesh largely struggled between the rain breaks, losing wickets at regular interval. Only Shakib Al Hasan (29 off 15) and Nurul Hasan (25 off 16) got going.
Romario Shepherd with impressive, claiming 3-21, while Hayden Walsh Jr. had 2-24. Obed McCoy (1-16), Akeal Hosein (1-22) and Odean Smith (1-22) were the other wicket-takers.
The second game in the three-match series is on Sunday from 13:30h at the same venue.
