Bangladesh Lead The Series 2-0
Player of The Match: Nasum Ahmed

Circumstances alter cases. Down and floored on the mat after Test and T20 series bruised and battered Bangladesh got up and brilliantly bouncing back in favored ODI format technically knocked out West Indies 2-0 yesterday winning big the second match by 9 wickets. The 10th ODI win on a trot and the 5th ODI series win against West Indies.

The manner in which Providence Stadium wicket behaved can be mistaken as that of Sher e Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) Dhaka. It gripped, turned and had variable bounce. Bangladesh was lucky to win the toss. Bangladesh used to play on such surface had the required warriors to exploit. Rokkie Nasum (3/17), teamed perfectly with master craftsman Mehedi (4/29) on such surface caused pathetic West Indies crumbling to 108 all out in 35 overs. The limited experience of West Indies against vastly experienced Bangladeshis in this format was evidenced. None but Keemo Paul (25*) with some lusty strokes at the very end helped WI hopping over their lowest ever ODI score 98 at home. The manners in which some of the wickets went down will put the players to shame when they look at the footage. But nothing must be taken away of the brilliant manners of Bangladesh bowling.

Bangladesh response was typing roar of injured tigers. Tamim played yet another wonderful innings of unbeaten 50. Litton produced classical 32 not out. On the same surface where WI huffed and puffed Bangladesh made it a cakewalk in cruising across the target losing the wicket of Shanto (20) only. With the series already wrapped up and series not part of ICC ODI Championship Bangladesh has the luxury now to test the bench strength.
