All Well That Ends Well

Month long visit of Bangladesh Cricket team to West Indies comprising of two tests, three T20 Internationals and three One Day International will come to an end tomorrow at Providence Stadium Guyana.

After getting brown washed in test series and getting devastated in T20 series Bangladesh brilliantly bounced back in favorite ODI format. Winning the first two very comfortably Bangladesh already wrapped up the series.

Win tomorrow will earn them series whitewash. If they ultimately achieve it, will give a huge most to their sagging morale. In the context of quality of players and ODI experience Bangladesh is well ahead of West Indies. The last ODI win was their 10th on the trot. Bangladesh has won the last 4 ODI series against West Indies the one-time super power of white ball formats.

Tamim after the second ODI rightly mentioned about testing bench strength. Different persons made different conclusions. Tamim is smart enough not grabbing the opportunities for achieving another white wash under his command. He is not required to. Anamul can very well be slotted in place of Shanto. Nasum-Mhedi –Mosaddeq spin combination teased and tormented West Indies. If Bangladesh wants, they can add Taijul resting Mustafiz.

If they want to appear with two pacers Mosaddeq can be rested bringing in Taskin and Ebadat. Bangladesh has to prepare the squad for the upcoming Zimbabwe series. The above changes will not make any change in the balance of the team. Nasum –Miraj combination with the addition of Shakib eventually will win many matches for Bangladesh if only Bangladesh can sort out top less and bottomless batting and improve the catching.

We always believed that Bangladesh team was not performing to potential for a while. They required one win and won two. The winning momentum must be kept up. The tour must be completed in winning tone.
