Zimbabwe batsmen are facing Bangladesh bowlers at the beginning of the opening game of the three-match T20 series at Harare Sports Club today (July 30).
Earlier, Zimbabwe Captain Craig Ervine opted to bat first after winning the toss.
Bangladesh who announced a squad for the first time without any senior players are upbeat to get back into their groove after winning just one game in the last 13 matches.
Nurul Hasan Sohan, who is appointed as the interim captain, said their target is to play a fearless brand of cricket as they are seeking a good preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup T20 tournament and T20 World Cup.
Last time, Bangladesh played here a T20 series, they won it by 2-1. Overall Bangladesh won 11 matches and lost 5 in 16 matches between the two sides.
Zimbabwe will have to play without their two best bowlers-- Tendai Chatara and Blessing Muzarabani as both of them were ruled out of the series due to injuries.
