Zimbabwe captain Regis Chakabva again won the toss and sent Bangladesh in batting in the second ODI at Harare Sports Club today (Aug 7).

With 1-0 down in the three-match series, the game is highly important for Bangladesh to stay alive. A defeat will see them conceding ODI series against Zimbabwe for the first time after 2013.

Zimbabwe won the first match of the series by five wickets, snapping their 19-match losing streak against Bangladesh.

Sikandar Raza struck an unbeaten 135 off 112 and Innocent Kaia who made his maiden century, scored 110 in Zimbabwe's landmark victory.

But standing on the brink of a rare series victory, Zimbabwe fell in a tricky situation as they had to bring up as many as five changes from the winning squad due to injury problems.

Tarisai Musakanda, Milton Shumba, Ryan Burl, Wellington Masakadza and Richard Nagarava made the way for Tadiwanashe Marumani, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Tony Munyonga, Brad Evans and Tanaka Chivanga.

Bangladesh are in better situation comparatively as they had to make three changes with top order batter Najmul Hossain Shanto, pacer Hasan Mahmud and left-arm spinner Taijul Islam replacing injured opener Liton Das, medium pacer Mustafizur Rahman and batting allrounder Mosaddek Hossain Saikart.

Left arm pacer Shoriful Islam though had niggles, he is announced fit to play the crucial game.
