Bangladesh women's football team made history in SAFF Women's Championship by thrashing India by 3-0 goal in their group match in Kathmandu of Nepal on Tuesday.

Sirat Zahan Swapna netted twice while Krishna Rani scored the third goal.

After this win group champions Bangladesh will take on Bhutan and India will be fighting Nepal in their semifinals.

Bangladesh conceded a 6-0 defeat in their first match with India in the first edition of the SAFF Women's Championship in 2010.

Since then, they could not beat the team in a single match in SAFF.
