Feni unit of Jewellers association formed a human chain protesting trader Arjun Bhaduri's murder and demanding arrest of the killers.
Feni unit of Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) organised the human chain at Trunk Road in the city on Sunday (Nov 13).
Earlier, on October 30, a group of unidentified dacoits stabbed Arjun Vaduri at his jewellery shop and snatched cash and gold ornaments.
Arjun died at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in port city Chattogram on Friday.
Speaking at the human chain, BAJUS leaders and jewellers said the dacoits took away ornaments and money hitting the owner but police could not arrest the culprits in 13 days into the incident.
If the killers of Arjun Vaduri are not arrested soon, the jewellers will go for tougher movement, they said.
Earlier, BAJUS announced closure of jewellery shops in Feni from 6:00am to 12:00pm protesting killing of the jeweller.
