Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has decided to increase the price of gold in the domestic market by Tk1,750 per bhori on Thursday (Nov 17).
The information was disclosed through a notification signed by the BAJUS standing committee chairman, MA Hannan Azad.
The new rate will be effective from tomorrow, said the notification.
According to new rate every bhori of 22-carat gold will cost Tk84,214, which was previously Tk82,464.
The price of 21-carat gold will be Tk80,364 per bhori, 18-carat gold Tk68,934 per bhori and traditional gold Tk56,687 per bhori.
Meanwhile, silver prices will remain unchanged. Twenty-two-carat silver now costs Tk1,516 per bhori, 21-carat Tk1,435 per bhori, 18-carat Tk1,225 per bhori and traditional silver Tk933 per bhori.
