BDCOM Online Ltd., one of the leading public listed nationwide ISP and ICT service providers in Bangladesh, Since 1997 has won the ICMAB - Best Corporate Award 2021 under the Telecommunication and IT Category.
The Honorable Chairman of BDCOM Online Ltd., Mr. Wahidul Haque Siddiqui, and the Managing Director, SM Golam Faruk Alamgir Arman, were presented with this prestigious award by Mr. Tipu Munshi, Honorable Minister of Commerce, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. On behalf of BDCOM Online Ltd. Executive Director and Company Secretary Mr. A.K.M. Kutub Uddin, and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Mr. CA Faker Ahmed FCA, MCHRD, and Independent Director, Mr. Khalid Hussain, FCA, were present at the award ceremony.
ICMAB has presented the awards to numerous prestigious corporate houses under different categories to promote transparency, accountability, and good governance in the country's corporate sector, encouraging corporate houses to maintain a healthy level of competition amongst themselves. This will ensure sustainability, better quality of products, and services for customers. The jury members of ICMAB evaluated the performance of the corporate houses based on their 2021 Annual Report, corporate governance, HR management, and CSR initiatives.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Tipu Munshi, Honorable Minister of Commerce, was accompanied by the jury, consisting of members of the ICMAB Corporate Award Selection Committee, along with Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank, and Mr. Mohammed Nurul Amin, Former Chairman, of the Association of Bankers Bangladesh, who were present at the event.
Best Corporate Awards are distributed according to a range of qualitative and quantitative criteria, together with the guidelines of SAFA, CAPA, IFAC, and other internationally accepted principles for judging the economical, effective, and efficient operation of corporate houses and institutions.
