Bashundhara Group Vice Chairman Safwan Sobhan has been honoured at an international conference at the University of Oxford for his excellence in social and business fields.

According to a press release, European Business Assembly (EBA) conferred the ‘Grand Star of Success Award’ to the young business leader of Bangladesh at the ‘New Year Summit of Leaders held in the United Kingdom on Wednesday.

The award includes lavishly decorated masterpieces for the first time in history as symbols of success and excellence in the fields of business, academia, and science.

Following the British tradition, this unique international Socrates Award ceremony was held in Oxford's historic Town Hall conference arena.

Businessmen, politicians, artists, academics, and scientists from different parts of the world took part in the summit. Since 2000, this event has been very meaningful and respected by various businessmen and creative personalities of the world.

The award reflects the effort of the young business leader, Safwan Sobhan who has been successfully contributing to the growing development of a leading industrial conglomerate in Bangladesh. He is not only contributing to Bashundhara Group but also to the economy of Bangladesh through multifaceted business wisdom.

Recently, Safwan Sobhan has been nominated for the prestigious ‘tax card’ facilities as the prominent entrepreneur topped the list of young taxpayers.

Safwan is the president of Bangladesh Economic Zone Investors Association (BEZIA), a platform for investors in economic zones, and has been showing his prudence in solving various problems of businessmen.

Earlier, International AsiaOne magazine honoured Safwan Sobhan as ‘Global Leader of the Year' for his outstanding leadership and contribution to business and society. He is a TOYP award holder of Junior Chamber International (JCI).
