Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) President Sayem Sobhan Anvir is relentlessly working to create a strong footing in the jewellery sector.

This was said by BAJUS vice-president Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Sahin at a view exchange meeting with Noakhali unit leaders and activists in the district on Friday.

'With a view to fostering position of jewellery sector, BAJUS President and Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir is working tirelessly," he said.

He also said BAJUS President wants jewellers of Noakhali and other parts of the country to run business honestly and transparently.

"Dream of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir is to develop the country properly doing business. So, he wants the jewellers to run business with discipline. If so, the government will actively consider their demands."

BAJUS Standing Committee on District Monitoring member secretary Md Repnul Hasan, central committee member Pabitra Chandra Ghose, and Pranab Saha were present.

Besides, Samir Karmakar, Jahangir Alam Bablu, Chandan Kumar Dey, Dilip Karmakar, among the jewellers, hailed from four upazilas.

Under leadership of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir, 40,000 jewellers from across the country are united, the leaders said.

Although jewellery business is next to RMG now, it will be more powerful in future, they added.
