Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) has lowered the price of gold by Tk 1,983 to Tk 97,161 per bhori (11.664 gram).
The prices of the precious item have reduced in the domestic market in line with the global market, said a press release of BAJUS on Monday (April 10).
The price of each bhori of 22-carat gold will cost Tk 97,161 now, according to the statement signed by Enamul Haque Bhuiyan Liton, Standing Committee Vice Chairman on pricing and monitoring of BAJUS.
Besides, the price of 21-carat gold has decreased to Tk 92,728 per a bhori while price of 18-carat gold to Tk 79,490. On the other hand, the price of traditional gold has dropped to Tk 66,251 per bhori.
The price of silver, however, remains unchanged.
Earlier, on March 18 of this year, the price of one bhori 22-carat gold was increased to Tk 98,794, this is the highest in country's history.
