The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC)  has increased the price of a 12kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk57 to Tk1,235 for the month of May.

In April, the price was Tk 1,178. 

BERC chairman Nurul Amin announced the new price at a press conference organized at the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission office on Tuesday.

According to a BERC notice, the new price will be effective from today.

Earlier in last month, BERC lowered the price of 12-kilogram cylinders of LPG by Tk244.

Earlier in March, 2023, the BERC adjusted the price of 12-kg LPG cylinders from Tk1,498 to Tk1,422.
