Bourses see fall Thursday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stocks Exchange, DSEX, shed over 37 points to stand at 4,230 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 101,115 with transaction at Tk 3,665 million.
    
 Of the issues traded, 89 advanced, 163 declined and 29 remained unchanged.

DELTALIFE topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 339 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were RNSPIN, PTL, GENNEXT, ORIONPHARM, JAMUNAOIL, BENGALWTL, BDBUILDING, CENTRALPHL and GPHISPAT.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,282 by dropping over 103 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 42 gained, 158 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
