DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 34 points only to stand at 4,299 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 144,143 with volume of transactions at Tk 5636 million.

Of the issues traded, 88 advanced, 178 declined and 24 remained unchanged.

ENVOYTEX topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 400 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were DELTALIFE, GOLDENSON, GENNEXT, DELTASPINN, RNSPIN, UNITEDAIR, BENGALWTL, GHAIL and BEACHHATCH.     .

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,436 by dropping over 74 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 46 gained, 162 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
