Deal signed for Padma link road

DHAKA: A deal was signed for constructing link road (Maowa side) of the much-talked-about Padma Multipurpose Bridge at Setu Bhaban in city’s Banani on Tuesday.

The deal was signed between Abdul Monem Ltd and Highway Civil Maintenance of Malaysia. It is the third contract provided by Bangladesh Bridge Authority.

Expenditures for the project were estimated as Tk 25.49 crore.

However, the project’s deal was estimated approximately Tk 193 crore and the deadline of completing the project is 2-year 6 months and 12 days.

Communications Minister Obaidul Quader and Bridges Division secretary Khandaker Awarul Islam along with other high officials were present at the signing ceremony.
