DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 16 points to stand at 4407 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 116570 with transaction at Tk 5,175 million. Of the issues traded, 167 advanced, 85 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

GOLDENSON, topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 206 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were MPETROLEUM, LANKABAFIN, SPPCL, BDBUILDING, BENGALWTL, SQURPHARMA, GENNEXT, UCBL and OLYMPIC.  

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,668 by gaining over 53 points.

Out of the issues traded, 107 gained, 88 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
