The price of gold has reached a record high of Tk1,17,573 per bhori with the latest increase in price of Tk1,750 per bhori.
The price of 22-carat gold is now Tk10,080 per gram while it is Tk9,620 for 21-carat gold, according to a press release issued by the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (BAJUS) on Monday.
The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk8,250 a gram, while that of traditional gold is at Tk6,875 a gram. The new tariff came into effect from Monday afternoon, the press release said.
Prices for silver would be: Tk180 per gram for 22-carat, Tk172 for 21-carat, Tk147 for 18-carat, and Tk110 for traditional silver, the press release said.
