DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 39 points to stand at 4,494 at the close on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 152,666with transaction at Tk 6,930 million. Of the issues traded, 197 advanced, 75 declined and 15 remained unchanged.

APOLOISPAT topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 325 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, OLYMPIC, SQURPHARMA, UCBL GOLDENSON, BENGALWTL, LANKABAFIN, SPPCL and CONFIDCEM.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,849 by gaining over 79 points.

Out of the issues traded, 142 gained, 66 declined and 67 remained unchanged.
