DHAKA: Expatriates, henceforth, can send upto $5000 instead of previous upper limit $2000, without any declaration on C-Form (Remittance Application Form).

In an order on Thursday, the Foreign Exchange Policy Department of the Bangladesh Bank (BB) said that the expatriates, henceforth, can send upto $5000 without any declaration on C-Form.

It also said that the step was taken as a part of the process of facilitating the principles of Foreign Exchange dealing.

The relatives in the country can withdraw the money, it added.
