BARISAL: Miscreants looted Tk 59 lakh of private money transfer agency bkash, a sister-concern of BRAC Bank, in broad day light in the town by blasting cocktails on Monday afternoon.  

The incident took place around 1:30pm at a bkash agent office at hospital road in the district town.   

Two district sales executives of bkash Monir and Ibrahim were injured in the cocktail blast.  

The injured were admitted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.  

Local people held driver of miscreant’s private car Shahidul Islam and later handed over to police. Police recovered 15 fresh cocktails from the spot, said a spot account of the incident.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Station Sakhawat Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews. Police is trying to nab the culprits, he added.
