DHAKA: Member Kuddus Khan has been appointed as acting chairman of Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority Bangladesh (IDRA).

A gazette notification singed by Senior Assistant Secretary Shah Momin of Banks and Financial Institutions department of Ministry of Finance was issued on Tuesday in this regard.

Earlier on January 29, Fazlul Karim, member of law department of IDRA, was appointed in the post.

Former Additional Secretary Kuddus Khan joined as a member of IDRA on February 27. And according to the order of the President, public administration ministry had appointed Kuddus Khan for next three years.

Kuddus Khan started his career as a teacher at political science department in Chittagong University. He joined Bangladesh Civil Service in 1979 and worked in various important ministries and departments.
