DHAKA: Robbers looted Tk 32.50 lakh from a Sonali Bank branch in Bogra by digging a tunnel into the bank’s vault on Saturday night.

Police said they found the around 10-yard tunnel connecting the vault with a nearby furniture shop.

Four people--two Ansar members, who were on security of the bank in Adamdighi upazila, the owner and an employee of the furniture house—were held on Sunday evening, said a spot account of the incident.

In January, robbers took away Tk 16.40 crore by digging a tunnel into the bank’s vault in Isa Khan Road of Rathkhola area in Kishoreganj district.
