DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) has taken initiatives to bring the working children resides at slums, roads, rail stations, bus stands, launch stands and footpaths under the banking services.

These children and youth can open bank accounts with a deposit of only Tk 10, as a part of the process.

The central bank of the country issued the order to scheduled banks, in this regard on Sunday.

The matter was disclosed in a gazette notification signed by M Anwarul Azim, deputy general manager of the central bank.
