Legal action for charging extra: Commerce minister

Commerce minister Tipu Munshi today (Aug 30) warned that legal action will be taken against anyone found charging more than the fixed price. 

He also said that government will soon fix the prices of nine essential commodities, to ease public sufferings. 

Tipu Munshi made the remarks after a meeting at the ministry on Tuesday.

The government is going to fix the prices of nine essential commodities including rice, wheat, flour, refined sugar, edible oil, lentils, onions, MS products and cement.
