The government of Bangladesh has formed a committee to meet the challenges of transforming Bangladesh from Least Developed Country (LDC) status and ease of doing business.
In this regard, a consultative committee comprising of government and private sector representatives and development partners has been constituted to make necessary recommendations. It has been named as 'Local Consultative Group'.
This committee will identify the current problems of trade and make recommendations in that light.
Director General of Trade Organization (DTO) of the Ministry of Commerce said this committee of 18 members is formed keeping Hafizur Rahman as the head.
In this committee there are representatives from the FBCCI, several other chambers, research institutes, other development aid agencies including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and JICA.
The advisory committee will make recommendations on how to make other services easier, starting from registration of business establishments.
