According to the new education curriculum, students till grade three will be assessed by performance in the class instead of first and second-term examinations, said the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education today (March 21).
Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmed disclosed the matter to journalists at the Secretariat in the capital.
He said earlier students were assessed through three examinations, and now there is a new curriculum. Though this curriculum, students will be assessed through app.
Secretary Farid said, “Continuous assessment means assessing a student's overall behavior by observing. Therefore, till class III we have freed the students from the burden of written exams, and burden of books.”
“The main content is there will be no more first and second term examinations,” he added.
